Faith Examined

"Unexamined Faith is not Worth Believing"

Welcome to my Site

I specialize in ancient Greek and Semitic languages, focusing on biblical and extra-biblical texts and philosophical hermeneutics. My work aims to advance scholarly discussions while kindling interest among the public in the extensive literature relevant to biblical texts and the evolution of theological thought.

My interest is not in suggesting what you should and/or should not believe. Such exploration is best suited for ministries and ecclesial settings. However, I do hope my research facilitates your encounter with what the authors of the biblical text desired to communicate as well a glimpse into the fascinating world in which they lived.

Book Reviews

I receive a large number of requests to review books and I am truly honored.  Currently, I am accepting a limited number of books. My subject matter expertise includes ancient Greek and Hebrew, Ugaritic, text-critical issues, and second temple period literature.

Devotionals, pastoral works, or other forms of popular religious material will be a hard pass.
